There are so many prayer requests this month! I feel that instead of writing you with scripture helps, that instead we should focus on praying. But there is one thing that I read recently that I would like to share. It was this scripture:
Jesus said: Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive and your joy will be complete. John 16:24
Now we cannot take this scripture out of context and think all prayers will be answered no matter what we ask. Things must be prayed according to his will (read last month's letter). But thinking about that scripture, do you think that you can do more on your own efforts than by your prayers? Can you do more by your relationship with men, rather than by your relationship with God? It is something I need to be aware of as sometimes I will research and research before getting direction from the Lord. We all need reminders about how prayer done in holiness and truth is very, very powerful and way more powerful than our own efforts!
